… conceived and bourne over both sides of the Pennines 'The Full Girth Explosion' straddle the backbone of the north. The band have been together for less than a year and are about to release their debut mini album produced by Dave Creffield (Embrace/Kaiser Chiefs). The band are already starting to make waves emanating from their nerve centre in Huddersfield and are set to make their sound known in towns and cities across the UK. Members of the band have previously worked in line ups that include artists such as ‘Rae & Christian’, ‘huggy’ and the ‘Longpigs’ and between them have recorded in studios from London, Leeds and Manchester to rural Wales.The sound of ‘The Full Girth Explosion’ passionately draws upon this eclectic mix of experiences live and in the studio…“stylish euphoric electro garage indie rock, visually and musically the band exude a confidence and style through sharp original songs with influences as diverse as Joy Division, Nirvana, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, U2, Japan, PJ Harvey, and Kraftwerk” ‘alive’ may 2005
